Aims
The aims of the Trans-Antarctic Association were adopted at its foundation. In summary they are:
- To support expeditions for the exploration of the Antarctic.
- To support education in or research into Antarctic physical, environmental and biological sciences and related subjects.
- To support education in or research into the effect of temperature upon humans.
- To support dissemination of information acquired in pursuance of the above three aims.
- To assist persons injured or made sick as a result of their Antarctic research or exploration, or to support arrangements or institutions to provide such assistance.
