TAA Aims

Aims

The aims of the Trans-Antarctic Association were adopted at its foundation.  In summary they are:

  1. To support expeditions for the exploration of the Antarctic.
  2. To support education in or research into Antarctic physical, environmental and biological sciences and related subjects.
  3. To support education in or research into the effect of temperature upon humans.
  4. To support dissemination of information acquired in pursuance of the above three aims.
  5. To assist persons injured or made sick as a result of their Antarctic research or exploration, or to support arrangements or institutions to provide such assistance.
