The Trans-Antarctic Association is a charity funding Antarctic research in the UK, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. This website provides the background to the charity, and what is required from you if you choose to apply to us for funds. In recent years around £13,000 has been available annually with an upper limit of around £1500 per applicant.
Grants are awarded only for Antarctic and / or directly related work and only to nationals of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Please note that citizenship is required, and residence in one of these countries alone does not qualify. Citizens of eligible countries that reside in another country are eligible.
